FINALLY! One more month left! We are now working on our research papers and I have to say I have not had much experience writing these. I have not officially chosen my topic yet. However, I am looking at writing it on SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and Shaking Baby Syndrome. I work at a daycare and have recently had to take a class to learn about both of these syndromes. On the other hand, parents that are bringing their baby home from the hospital for the first time do not get educated on either one of these syndromes. In addition, parents are the ones that need to watch out for this the most.

Week 12 Blog: Abortion
Abortion...I realize we can not use this as a topic for our essay. However, it is something I feel very strongly about. I believe abortion is not right and unfair. My friend had an abortion a few years ago. She had "accidentally" gotten pregnant with her ex and they were not ready for a baby. Then, just last summer, she had gotten pregnant again. She was battling the decision of whether to get another abortion or not. In the end, she decided to go through with the pregnancy. Now, she has one of the most adorable little boys. He is spoiled rotten. It is sad to think that he may not be alive today. That his own mother was going to take away his right to live. If you aren't ready to have a baby you should not be having intercourse or should use protection. Do not take away the baby's right to live because you made a mistake. Adoption is always an option.
Week 11 Blog
The Glass Castle was an outstanding book! I encourage everyone to read it ATLEAST once or more. The plot was put together so nicely and every page left me wanting to read more. I thought it was an important book. It's sad to think some people do or have had to live like Jeannette. I enjoyed the book and plan to read it again sometime in the near future.

Time is flying by! Already on to week seven and it feels like we just started last week. In the blink of an eye it will be Spring Break and then Summer! Although it feels like this semester has just started, I am looking forward to the nice long summer break. I bet everyone else is feeling the same way.

Better late than never!
Whew!! These past few weeks have been busy. Coaching sixth grade girls basketball and fifth grade girls volleyball, working at a daycare, and attending school can be very stressful. I am ready for summer to be here already and there is still snow on the ground. Along with all of the coaching I will be starting spring training for volleyball here at RCTC very soon. I am extremely excited but I know that things will be way more hectic. Hope everyone is having a great first 1/2 of the semester!!

First Blog :)
Well, I have never "blogged" before, so I am very new to this! I have had a wonderful first two weeks at RCTC. I have currently transferred here after attending my first semester at WSU.
It is great meeting new people! I am hoping to play on the RCTC volleyball team. Spring training starts next month already so I am very excited!
This class is the first online class I have taken. I'm sure it will be rough starting out but hope to learn a lot!
